🇬🇧 Good molecules | Clean affordable skincare, yes but does it work?

Hi! How are you? Today, I’m giving you feedback on my test of Good molecules products. The brand contacted me to test their product without requiring any articles or sharing on the networks in return. I dedicate this article to their product as long as I have no negative feedback. Otherwise, I would have abstained 🙈. . The press service sent me a day and night cream, an eye gel, a tonic, a complexion unifying serum. What I appreciated is that they asked me what my problems were before sending me the products. Good Molecules is a skincare company. When they contacted me to test their products, I checked their website to know more about the brand and their product ingredients. There were no red flags for me. The company’s motto is to let the products shine by their efficiency instead of relying on heavy marketing campaigns. Then, the products are vegan and cruelty-free. I received the Niacinamide Brightening Toner, the discoloration correcting serum, the Yerba Mate Wake Up Eye gel and the silicone-free priming moisturizer.

Benefits of licorice extract for the skin

Liquorice has long been used in the medicinal world for its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and antimicrobial properties. Its powder, extracted from its root, is today recognized by the world of beauty as being beneficial for the skin. The glycyrrhizic acid it contains is a powerful anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic agent that heals irritations (sunburn, itching, redness, etc.) or quite simply, soothes sensitive or damaged skin. At the same time, liquorice powder softens and nourishes the skin. Its active constituents also include many flavonoids, famous antioxidants that fight lipid peroxidation and block free radicals.

My experience

The tonic is OK. There is a fair amount of the product. I can’t confirm its efficiency on my skin. But, it didn’t damage it either. To be honest, I am not sure a tonic can actually do miracles… It needs to be part of a process. At least, my skin feels great once I apply it.

Discoloration Correcting Serum

Description

improve the appearance of skin discolouration and uneven skin tone with Discoloration Correcting Serum. Formulated with an advanced form of tranexamic acid (cetyl tranexamate mesylate) and 4% niacinamide, this lightweight serum improves the appearance of age spots, acne scars, hyperpigmentation, and sun damage.

Ingredients

Water 77.0%, Butylene Glycol 5.0%, Propanediol 5.0%, Glycerin 5.0%, Niacinamide 4.0%, Cetyl Tranexamate Mesylate 2.0%, Cetearyl Alcohol 0.8%, Ceratonia Siliqua (Carob) Gum 0.4%,Tamarindus Indica Seed Gum 0.4%, Phenoxyethanol 0.2%, Ethylhexylglycerin 0.1%, Caprylyl Glycol 0.1%

My experience

I have been obsessed with oily serum but a video on TikTok thought me that I shouldn’t abuse this kind of serums as they tend to block pores. So, I was very happy to get to test this serum which is mainly water. I didn’t see so much change regarding the stains on my face. But, it is a good product that didn’t create any problems.

Silicone-free Priming moisturizer

Description

Smooth, hydrate, and prep your skin for makeup with Silicone-Free Priming Moisturizer from Good Molecules. Formulated with macadamia seed oil, shea butter, and a naturally derived silicone alternative, this lightweight daily moisturizer works to strengthen, condition, and protect skin from environmental stress—all while creating a smooth, plumped-up canvas for flawless makeup application.

Ingredients

Water / Aqua / Eau, Propanediol, Neopentyl Glycol Diheptanoate, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Cetearyl Alcohol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Cetearyl Olivate, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Glyceryl Stearate, Sorbitan Olivate, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Carbomer, Tromethamine, Butylene Glycol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Camellia Sinensis Leaf, Water, Citric Acid

Benefits of macadamia oil

Very nourishing, therefore, macadamia oil moisturizes and actively fights against ageing of the skin thanks to its antioxidant properties, thus preventing the appearance of wrinkles and dark spots. As for its regenerating properties, they would make it possible in particular to remove stretch marks. Healing, it is excellent for acne-prone skin as well as for those suffering from chapping, redness and sunburn. It is also recommended to soothe the skin after waxing.

My experience

It’s one of my favourite products in the lot they sent me. I love the fact that I can actually apply during both morning routine and night routine. The cream is very easy to apply and is absorbed almost instantly. It’s the perfect base for make-up. It worked very well with the Nightwear foundation of Lancôme. It’s too bad the product doesn’t include an SPF but at the time if it was it would not make sense to use it as a night cream. I am now using it in November in London and the formula is rich enough to protect my skin from the cold. We haven’t had a negative temperature yet so I am not sure it will be enough to deal with this kind of drama.

My experience

This is my second favourite of what was sent to me. I actually never used a gel as an eye serum. It’s perfect! The product is absorbed instantly and my under eyes looks instantly more hydrated. I think I have fewer rinckles. It doesn’t seem to have much effect on my dark circles but still, I love this product.
