Lorsque j’achète un livre de Marc Levy, je cherche un livre léger, une lecture facile. Mais cette fois-ci, je vous avoue que j’ai eu du mal à rentrer dans l’histoire. Le livre m’est souvent tombé des mains….

L’histoire. Le livre est un spin off de Et si c’était vrai?. Paul ,le héro, est l’ami d’Arthur et Lauren. Paul est écrivain. Il n’a plus connu le succès depuis son premier roman. Il n’a pas supporté cette célébrité soudaine et décide de quitter les Etats Unis pour Paris. Il y retrouve l’anonymat.
En. The story. The book is a spin off from And if it was true ?. Paul, the hero, is the friend of Arthur and Lauren. Paul is a writer. He has not experienced success since his first novel. He did not support this sudden celebrity and decided to leave the United States for Paris. He finds anonymity there.
Lauren et Arthur décident d’aller lui rendre visite. Mais s’inquiète de la solitude dans laquelle il vit. Sur un coup de tête, il décide de lui créer un compte sur un site de rencontres. Ils arrivent même à lui arranger un rendez vous! Elle s’appelle Mia, elle est propriétaire de restaurant….

Mia et Paul vont apprendre à se connaître et deviendront amis. Ils vivent des histoires compliquées. Je n’en dis pas plus.

Bon en lisant l’ouvrage, je me suis demandée si Marc ne s’était pas fait un petit ego trip parce Paul lui ressemble beaucoup: la peur des medias, du star system, le côté introvertie, la difficulté à exprimer ses sentiments.

J’ai vraiment été prise par l’histoire au 4/5ème du livre. Je vous avoue que la fin ma un chouïa déçu. Comme ci le quota de pages avaient été atteints et qu’il fallait finir l’histoire rapido.
